Save East Antioch Elementary!

Call Script

Hello, my name is __________ and I am calling in support of East Antioch Elementary, and to ask the Board to reject the
proposal to close the school. 

East Antioch is exactly the kind of school community that families want. It is uniquely positioned to meet the needs of
our diverse community. Classes are small and students get the individual attention they need, faculty/staff have
decades-long tenure, the principal knows you by name, and your classmates are your neighbors. The proposal asks our
entire community to cross Metcalf, a busy city thoroughfare, to attend Santa Fe Trail Elementary, making it impossible
for students to safely walk or bike to school. Such a change would destroy our community and be detrimental to the
welfare of our families.

Let us keep our walkable neighborhood school that boasts staff who have been there for decades and generations of
families who have moved to the neighborhood specifically to attend East Antioch. It is a school that makes families feel
like part of a community.

Please consider voting against closing our school.
